Normalmente no suelo hablar de publicidad, pero esta vez he querido reseñar la última campaña de Scribe (una marca de cuadernos mexicana) por su originalidad.

En Scribe han decidido que todo lo que hagan debe servir a la gente como inspiración. Por eso, la ilustradora Cecilia Beaven vivirá en las alturas durante 10 días, en una valla publicitaria colocada en Ciudad de México, para dibujar en ella todo lo que tú le pidas a través de Twitter usando el hashtag #ScribeBillboard.

I usually don’t write reviews about advertising, but today I’ve decided to show you the last campaign of Scribe, a Mexican brand of notebooks, for its originality.

The Scribe Company has decided that all things they do should be an inspiration for people. So that’s why they contacted the young illustrator Cecilia Beaven, who will be living high up for 10 days, into a billboard in Ciudad de México. She will draw all that you ask her via Twitter including the hashtag #ScribeBillboard.

O como viajar sin moverte de la silla

Let‘s Travel Somewhere es un proyecto ideado por la fotógrafa Nisa Maier con el que se ha propuesto conseguir captar la esencia de todos los países del planeta. Pero como un sólo viajero jamás tendría tiempo de ver o fotografiar el mundo entero, Nisa ha recurrido a la ayuda de una serie de fotógrafos repartidos por todo el globo. A día de hoy, Nisa sigue buscando aliados, así que si eres fotógrafo/a y quieres aportar tu visión del mundo, no dudes en contactar con ella.

Lo que más me gusta de este proyecto es no sólo la idea, que me parece genial, sino también la cuidada selección de fotografías y, por supuesto, el increíble trabajo de diseño llevado a cabo por Ines Gamler. Un sitio impecable y lleno de vida para deleitarnos la vista.

Let‘s Travel Somewhere is a project by Nisa Maier. She wants to capture the essence of every country on the planet through stunning photographs and gripping stories. But there is a problem, ‘because a single traveller can’t live to see it all’, so for that reason Nisa has asked for the help of several photographers who live in different places around the world. Today, Nisa continues searching new accomplices, so if you are a photographer and want to contribute sharing your worldview, just contact her.

What I most like about this project is not only the idea, that seems great to me, but the thorough selection of pictures and, of course, the amazing design work made by Ines Gamler. This is an impeccable and full of life website to delight the eye.

Cayce Zavaglia es una increíble artista estadounidense que se considera a si misma pintora, aunque para realizar sus impresionantes retratos no toque ni un solo pincel.

A pesar de que el medio empleado sea el bordado, la técnica se acerca más a los mundos del dibujo y la pintura que al de la costura tradicional.

La fuerza pictórica que tienen todos y cada uno de sus trabajos es indiscutible, ya sean vistos por delante o por detrás…

Fanzineros: pobres pero felices

El pasado viernes fue el día del estreno del documental, realizado por Guillermo Carandini, ¿Qué significa UNDERGROUND?. Un recorrido por el mundo del cómic en España que nos acerca al espíritu del fanzine y los fanzineros.

He tenido la suerte de verlo este fin de semana y de disfrutar aprendiendo algo más de este mundillo de lo hecho a mano y por amor al arte. Os recomiendo que le dediquéis un rato, descubriréis caras muy conocidas del mundo del cómic, y otras no tanto, que reflexionarán sobre la situación del cómic en España, sobre sus orígenes y su porvenir.

Un viaje muy interesante en el que descubriréis la auténtica pasión y libertad con la que estos creativos/as se enfrentan a su trabajo.

Last Friday was the premiere of What does UNDERGROUND means?, the film produced by Guillermo Carandini.

It’s an interesting journey through the world of comics in Spain that brings us closer to the spirit of these comic books made ​​by amateurs.

You’ll find several Spanish comic Creators, professionals and amateurs, talking about the comic book situation in this country, about its origins and its future.

I’ve been fortunate to watch it this weekend and I’ve really enjoyed learning more things about this world full of great people who really love this work.

I recommend that you reserve a bit of your time to watch it.
